Betfred will need no introduction to most sports betting fans in the UK. Is Betfred Safe?
Betfred celebrated fifty years in the business in 2017, which must be a clear indication that it is doing something right, as companies which are unsafe or treat their customers unfairly tend not to last over half a century. Having said that, Betfred has had one black mark put against them by the UKGC but it was only a warning and financial penalty of £3.25 million for regulatory failings between October 2019 and December 2020. Betfred Sports Betting
The layout of the Betfred betting site is not likely to appeal to everyone, and we admit it’s a little bit clumsy. It is okay to find the in-play, horse racing and football sections, but everything else is just slammed into ‘All Sports’ which takes a little more in the way of searching. What’s especially annoying is you can go straight to other aspects of the Betfred brand – casino, live casino, lotto, virtual world (virtual sports), bingo, poker and totepool – all in one click.

It’s a decent list but we’ve seen other sites with better options, and eSports is a particular miss. Betfred is a huge company so it can afford to offer competitive odds and indeed it claims to do so, but just how competitive are they? We’ve taken some odds at the time of this review and compared them to the best odds we could find anywhere in the UK.
