Liverpool Players Had Biggest Instagram Follower Increase
For players looking for the biggest jump in followers it seems Liverpool is the best club to sign for.
Both Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister gained huge numbers of followers since moving to the Reds this season.
Szoboszlai saw an almost 400% increase from 498,349 to 2,485,379, a jump of just under two million.
Mac Allister’s move from Brighton meanwhile saw the Argentine World Cup winner gain more than 2.5m followers.
Hojlund Goes From Zero To Hero
No player saw a bigger percentage increase in followers than Rasmus Hojlund.
The Denmark international moved to Old Trafford from Italian side Atalanta in July 2023, and has since gained 2,150,950 Instagram followers.
In June of last year, Hojlund had just 143,455 followers, meaning he’s increased his following by around 1500%.
Mason Mount’s Disappointing Season
Much was made of Mason Mount’s £55m switch from Chelsea to Manchester United last summer.
But the England midfielder spent most of the season injured, and was limited to just 20 total appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, most of which from the bench.
This lack of game time coupled with him already being an established Premier League star meant Mount saw the lowest percentage follower increase of any player, at just 7%.
In fact, Mason Mount has actually lost followers since his total number peaked at 6,412,445 on 9 September 2023.
