Six teams will don Adidas kits
The Euro Cup is arguably the most popular international football tournament following the World Cup. Like always, the upcoming edition will see some of the popular international teams and players face each other over the course of a month, starting from June 15.
The upcoming tournament will feature 24 nations, and all participants have been decided. When we look at the teams and their kit manufacturers, US-based sporting giant Nike rules the field with nine teams – which makes up 37.5% of the total.
Nike has teams like France, England, Croatia, Netherlands, Portugal, Turkey, Poland, Slovenia, and Slovakia in its portfolio. Out of these, France and England could be considered as strong favourites to win the tournament.
German sports brand Adidas is in second place with six teams or 25% of all teams. Adidas also boasts of quite a few teams that are strong contenders in the tournament. The likes of Germany, Spain, Belgium, Scotland, and Hungary will be wearing Adidas kits in the Euros.
Puma, another German brand, comes next with sponsorships of four participating teams. Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and Serbia will wear Puma kits in Germany.
Besides these three popular sporting brands, other manufacturers like Macron, Hummel, and Joma will also make a presence at the cup.
Italy-based Macron sponsors the kits of the national sides of Albania and Georgia. Georgia is making its debut in the tournament, while it is a second appearance from Albania. Spanish brand Joma are the sponsors for the national teams of Romania and Ukraine. Meanwhile, Denmark will be the only nation to wear kits from Hummel – a Denmark-based sportswear brand.
