What Is The Drake Joshua vs Ngannou Bet?

The 37-year-old revealed his bet on Instagram, where he will be backing Francis Nganouu to beat Anthony Joshua at odds of 3.10 (just over 2/1).

Does Ngannou Have A Chance Of Beating Joshua?
There’s every chance that the Cameroonian gives Joshua a good fight in Riyadh. He made his boxing debut against Tyson Fury in October, where he sensationally knocked down the WBC World Champion, giving the “Gypsy King” a solid challenge.
Ngannou eventually lost via split decision, but he arguably put in a better performance. Many didn’t give the ex-UFC star a chance agianst Fury, but he took him all the way with the points in the bout scored closely.
Now like most things, improvement will likely come and Ngannou has had four whole months of training for this fight, so it would be naive to rule him out.
After taking the unbeaten Fury to a full 10 rounds, he should fair even better against Joshua, who has lost in the boxing ring on more than one occasion.
Joshua lost to Andy Ruiz Jr. in 2019 by TKO, before being defeated twice in a row by Oleksandr Usyk on decision in 2021 and 2022.
There has been areas in Joshua’s game that have not been so good over the past few years, something that Ngannou may be able to exploit.
The fighters weighed-in for the bout on Thursday, and Ngannou tipped the scales at almost a stone and a half heavier than his British opponent. We know that he packs a punch, so he could use his weight to an advantage against Joshua.
So, with the Drake Joshua vs Ngannou bet now public, keep an eye out for more updates to see if his wager is successful.
