Is 10bet Safe?
It is always disappointing when a site suffers regulatory actions against them, but in a decade of operation, 10bet UK has only had one slap on the wrist. This was in February 2023, and resulted in a £620k fine for failing to take the necessary steps to prevent money laundering and the protection of vulnerable people. In mitigation, 10bet were quick to own up to their failings, donated their fine to responsible gambling causes and stated their intentions to do better in the future.
It’s worth noting that despite this fine, there came no threat of 10bet having their UKGC licence suspended or withdrawn. Their licence was granted in 2015, meaning they operated for over seven years without a single blemish on their record, which of course is good news.
In terms of responsible gambling, 10bet does offer several tools, including a self-assessment section which asks eight questions, and if you answer ‘yes’ to any of them it’s suggested you contact their customer service department, or any of the organisations they list. You can also use deposit limits, reality checks, time-outs, site self-exclusion (as explained via this link) and loss limits.
We could not find details of the encryption tools 10bet uses, but we understand some must be in place, as this is a stipulation of having a UKGC licence. We are happy to conclude that 10bet is perfectly safe.
